TOTAL PROANTHOCYANIDINS
Proanthocyanidins, also known as oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs), have been clinically shown to be very effective in
prevention of urinary tract infections. The other benefits include such as anti-mutagenic activity, prevention of cardiovascular
diseases, stabilization of collagen and maintenance of elastin, etc. Currently, there are several methods being used to measure
levels of proanthocyanidins, like the Porter Assay, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, Total Polyphenolics and Gel Permeation Chromatography. But
all the methods are either not reliable or do not meet the industry quick and inexpensive requirement. Recently, Brunswick
Laboratories, a world leading institute in natural product chemistry , developed and published a peer-validated
BL-DMAC method which can produce consistent and reliable results. The method is now available for our customers.
