Bioflavonoids are known for their antioxidant capabilities throughout the nutraceutical industry. For example, well known bioflavonoids such as quercetin, epicatechins, and proanthocyanidins are found in a variety of fruits and vegetables. The newly developed and validated assay is a precise, accurate, and sensitive UV spectrophotometric method for routine quantification of total bioflavonoids, expressed as Hesperidin.
